The White Coat Ceremony signifies the transition into medical education, accentuating professionalism, compassion, and devotion to patient care as students embark on their healthcare journey. The ceremony has been a cherished tradition at Management and Science University (MSU).

December witnessed 182 new Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Hons) students at the International Medical School (IMS), taking their first step towards healthcare endeavours, with 170 enrolled at MSU Shah Alam (main campus) and 12 at MSU Kota Bharu (Kelantan).

A total of six international students come from Sri Lanka, four from the Maldives, three from Oman, one from India, one from Iran, and one from Nigeria.

The senior management and academic members of IMS assisted first-year students in donning their white lab coats, a symbol of the medical field and the imminent start of their medical training.

The ceremony also marked the appointment of the International Medical School Student Association for Session 2024/2025. Muhammad Lutfi Fariz Fadly, a Year 4 MBBS student, will lead the 20-member IMSA 2024/2025 team.
