The School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) at Management and Science University organised a research colloquium, marking the culmination of a semester-long exposure to the dynamics of research.

The participants comprised bachelor’s degree students in their final semester of the September 2024 academic session.

 

 

 

The Best Poster and Best Project awards were presented to three recipients from each category during an award ceremony at the conclusion of the SESS Colloquium.

Taking home first place for the Best Project Presentation was Irdina Darwisyah Rahmad from the Bachelor in Education—TESL (Hons) programme, for her study titled 'Perceptions Towards the Usage of ChatGPT in Enhancing Students’ Learning Experiences Among Undergraduate Students in MSU.'

In second place for Best Project was Muadh Abdul Malik Davis, from the Bachelor in Education—TESL (Hons) programme, for his project on 'Correlation Between MSU Undergraduate Students Perceived Definitions of Academic Failure and Levels of Academic Self-Efficacy.'

Abdul Hadi Mohd Ali, also from the Bachelor in Education—TESL (Hons) programme, secured third place for his research on 'The Perception of Flipped Classroom Implementation Towards MSU BTESL Students in Improving Their Speaking Skills.'

 

 

Priestly Ivan Noah Simon from the Bachelor of Public Relations Managements (Hons) programme earned first place for Best Poster, for 'Analysing The Effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence in Public Relation (PR) Strategies Among Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) Fundraising Campaigns.'

 

 

Jansilina Francies, for 'The Perception of MSU Students Toward Project-Based Learning (PBL),' and Ishalinee Subramaniam, for 'Motivational Factors Influencing MSU TESL Students’ Major Decision to Pursue a Teaching Career,' won second and third places, respectively.
