The current landscape of education is dynamic, progressive, and transformational. A practical learning experience materialises at the expense of a learner’s grit and courage to explore beyond the confines of classrooms. Apart from interaction with peers in the classroom, the voluntary involvement among students of MSU in clubs and associations points toward the quest for a wholesome academic journey.

With 34 clubs and associations, the Students and Career Development (SCD) at Management and Science University (MSU) spearheads avenues for various networking, decision-making, and learning opportunities beyond the classroom. The clubs and associations in MSU are compartmentalised into seven clusters: arts & culture, sports, humanity, martial arts, outdoor & recreation, uniform, and international, aligning with students’ passions and goals.

By prioritising and adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), members of each club and association engage in a range of community initiatives, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices both on campus and in the public sphere, thereby cultivating a skill-based learning environment.

SCD, in collaboration with the Student Representative Council (SRC), organised the MSU Club Carnival, which lasted for two days in December 2024. The carnival encompassed a sharing session by alumni, promotional activities, a membership drive, competitions, and a showcase by the clubs and associations. The Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) had the highest participation, whereas Kelab Penyayang recorded the highest new membership.

Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, MSU President and Founder; Dato’ Rosli Yusof, Senior Vice President Endowment & Communication; Halijah Hassan, Director of SCD; and the senior management team, along with representatives of clubs and associations, were in attendance for the launching ceremony of the carnival at the Performing Arts Theatre.

Pointing to the significance of student participation in clubs and associations, Professor Dr. Mohd Shukri reiterated it as one of the fundamental components of the University’s learning experience; these platforms cultivate character and passion, encourage commitment and agility, and cultivate empathy among students, all of which are indispensable for personal and professional development.

“With integrity and values, regardless of the profession you choose, you can achieve great success in the future,” reminded the President.
