In a country known for its cultural diversity, Management & Science University (MSU) is the perfect place to mingle with people from different backgrounds.
“If you can appreciate others, you can work anywhere in the world. The more you can be appreciative of other cultures, the higher your global employability,” said Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.
As we bid goodbye to 2018, let’s relive some cultural celebrations organized by fellow MSUrians.
MSU students from the Maldives, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Pakistan, Brunei, India, Singapore, Somalia, Brunei, Kazakhstan, Russia, Indonesia, and Malaysia made the event a success with the help of our equally international lecturers.
2) Ihya Ramadan with Clubs and Associations of MSU
Every year, we celebrate Ramadan by bringing our students together into the University’s Ihya Ramadan traditions.
The festival’s organization was one of the university’s initiatives at developing holistically excellent graduates, competent in the technologies of the 21st century yet rooted in tradition.
Launched by guest of honour Her Royal Highness Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, the songket appreciation theme was expressed in various cultural showcases on campus.
4) International Songket Run 2018
Flagged off by MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid at the university’s Shah Alam campus, the fun run closing the weeklong ASEAN Songket Festival 2018 raised awareness and appreciation of heritage songket.
6) Deepavali Celebration 2018
More than a thousand attendees gathered at MSU’s Chancellor Hall for Deepavali Celebration 2018, where the tagline 'glowing with peace, joy and prosperity' was celebrated with vibrant traditional music of Indian culture and colourful attires of Indian fashion.
