Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4) were among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of focus in My City, My Community (MyCC) 2022 by Management and Science University (MSU).

 

Aiming for Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), the SDGs were supported by Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) in the MSU MyCC 2022 event organized by MSU College Sarawak and officiated by MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

 

Comprising the five main activities of My City, My Race, My Care, My Fit, and My Step Up, MSU MyCC 2022 engaged members of the community in Kuching, Sarawak.

 

 

My City, themed Clean City, saw MSUrians promoting the 3R campaign of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in the Kuching Waterfront area.

 

My Race had a hundred students from nine schools participating – SMK Seri Setia, SMK Tun Abdul Razak, SMK Agama Tun Ahmad Zaidi, SMK Bandar Samariang, SMK Sains Kuching Utara, SMK Kota Samarahan, SMK Muara Tuang, SMK Wira Penrissen, and SMK Green Road.

 

 

In line with the pursuit of No Poverty (SDG 1), My Care contributed RM6,000 total worth of grocery and financial assistance to sixty B40 families; from the villages of Binyuk, Temedak/Muhibbah, Astana Lot, Sourabaya Ilu, Buntal, Kudei Dungun, Rampangi, Burong Lilin, Haji Baki, Gersik, Tanjong, Pulo Hulu, Tupong Batu, Bintawa Ulu, and Qoup, as well as Taman Indah Landeh, Paya Mebi Landeh, Emperoh Betung, and Jalan Mendu Kmpg Simpg 3.

 

 

Whilst My Fit was a 3km fun run with Persatuan Autisme Malaysia and Lembaga Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Sarawak (PERYATIM), My Step Up was a fitness awareness programme with participants from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia, Sarawak.
