Sustainable wellbeing is about meeting current needs without jeopardizing the future. It poses particular challenge because of the complex dynamics involved in social-environmental systems. Students of MSU College Shah Alam strike a balance between evolution and adaptation, building a more sustainable future at the village of Tuba in Langkawi Island.

The MSU community engagement programme My Kampung aimed to deliver seven of the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) – zero poverty, zero hunger, health and wellbeing, and quality education, with elements of industry, innovation, and infrastructure, for both life below water and life on land.

With its mission of sustainable lifestyle shifts, the programme’s tasks centred on doable changes in the target community.

Participants were presented with sustainability lessons on issues such as recycling and waste management in My Kampung Trash Hero.

Delivering MSU’s commitment to a healthier, more sustainable environment were My Kampung Kids Eco-Friendly, My Kampung Tree for Life, My Kampung Aqua Nature, and My Kampung Mangrove.

Contributing to health and wellbeing were My Kampung Angkat, My Kampung Kenduri, My Kampung Qiraat, My Kampung Trail Run Tuba edition, and My Kampung Home Deco.

My Kampung S.E.Y.E.S. (Social Empowerment for Young Entrepreneurial Skills) donated two hundred starter chicks for residents to rear for the local market, through a tri-party collaboration among MSU College Shah Alam, Tuba Community Cooperative, and Selat Berhad.

MSU Bachelor in Environmental Health (Honours)

MSU Bachelor in Health Science Management (Honours)

MSU Doctor of Philosophy (Health Science)

MSU Foundation (Science Biology / Health Science)
