‘Exploremos La Isla’ was an off-campus activity by students of Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from MSU College Sungai Petani in Kedah, headed by Muhammad Iqrak Mansor.
The island exploration visit to Songsong Island saw the students participating in teambuilding efforts such as beach cleaning and water confidence.
Primarily intended for exposure to trip management, the learning experience incidentally introduced Songsong Island as an upcoming heritage tourism area in the Kedah district of Yan.
According to tour guide Mohd Shubhi Omar, the MSUrians made the first group of university students to complete the Songsong Geopark Trail.
Also known as Island Tour 360, it is set to welcome tourists as soon as it is launched in a not-too-distant future.
