Sukan Sabah or Sabah Games (SAGA) is a platform for Sabahans to bag the opportunity of representing the State as a sports competitor at national and international levels. Leading up to Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2020, athletes from MSU College (MSUC) Sabah were invited to participate in the SAGA IX Keningau qualifying round. Competitive MSUrians battled it out and emerged medallists in cycling, rugby, and netball.

 

 

Diploma of Management student Don Sylvester Junior who represented MSUC Sabah in the Cycling category grabbed the Silver Medal in the 30km Time Trial team. He finished at 22.27.500 minutes with 0.00.06.184 seconds gap against the Tawau District record.  

 

 

“I'm very excited and proud to be part of the competition together with my friends. It’s an opportunity for talented community members from all walks of life to participate in the championship. The sports activity gives us the chance to contribute something beneficial to our own record of achievements as well as the College’s."

 

 

Other than cycling, the rugby and netball teams also brought in medals for Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, Sipitang, and Penampang.

 

 

Sports is an important element of the MSU learning experience. SUCA or Sports United Championship is the annual sports meet collaboration by the Student and Career Development Department and University Staff Club of Management and Science University (MSU).
