Carrying the theme of Traditional and Modern Raya, the Student and Career Development (SCD) Department of Management and Science University (MSU) organised the Club & Association Hari Raya Celebration 2024. The commemoration took place at the main campus's Chancellor Hall, attended by over 900 students and staff.

 

 

An avenue to celebrate the month of Syawal on top of fostering engagement between every club and association, the celebration was an occasion to cherish by the student leaders and representatives.

 

 

 

A total of 70 clubs and associations, comprising 33 from SCD, 29 from faculty, 5 from MSU College Shah Alam, and 3 from Global Affair, joined hands for the commemoration. Joining the celebration virtually were students of the MSU Group of Colleges and MSU Bangalore.

 

 

 

Performing Arts & Cultural Club, MSU Music Club, The Musician Club at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA), Chinese Cultural Society, MSU Bruneian Society, and Kelab Teater Ceritera all performed flawlessly, adding colour to the day.

 

 

Bagging first place for the Best Booth Raya Decoration is Booth 3 (SCD Clubs), represented by Python Basketball Club, Penyayang Club, Malaysian Red Crescent, MSUcares, MSU Football Club, MSU Futsal Club, MSU Environmental Club, and MSU Athletic Club.

The International Club, comprising the MSU International Student Society, MSU Indonesian Society, and MSU Bruneian Society, representing Booth 1, won second place.

Booth 15, represented by the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) clubs, namely the International Business Students Society, Young Accountant Club, Human Capital Club, Law and Commerce Society, Entrepreneurship and Office Technology Club, Investment Youth Club, Marketing Psychology Club, Supply Chain Club, and Retail and Management Club, secured third place.

Irene Safa Fakhira of the International Student Society, Amar Najmi Adzhali of Persatuan Seni Silat Gayung Malaysia, and Tasnura Amrin Alvi of the Python Basketball Club were the winners of the Best Raya Attire Competition.

 

 

In the Best Video Raya Competition, MSU Performing Arts & Cultural Club, MSU Facilitator, and MSUcares clinched the first, second, and third places, respectively.

 

 

 

MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, along with MSU Vice Chancellor Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr. Junainah Abd Hamid, officiated the celebration. In his opening speech, the President applauded the collaborative commitment and unwavering discipline demonstrated by every student leader and representative through programmes conducted during Ihya Ramadan 2024.
