Management and Science University (MSU) has held the third edition of the MSU Quranic League (MQL) championship.
Presenting four main categories of competition, MQL 2023 concluded yesterday with a prize-giving ceremony officiated by MSU president Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.
Opening the ceremony were recitations by Lukman Hakim Daud of the Diploma in Logistic Management programme at the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP), Ahmad Faris Hanafi Mohd Hakimi of Yayasan MSU’s Sekolah Bina Insan (SBI) in Puchong, and Muhammad Adzleef Hazran Mohd Hazrin of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Kelana, Seremban.
SBI students also presented a nasyid performance.
Eight sub-categories in the Higher Education Institution category presented 22 winners.
In first place for the Hafazan of Selected Surah and Juz-30 sub-category is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student Anis Aqila from the MSU International Medical School (IMS).
In first place for the Hafazan of Juz 1-10 and Juz 1-5 sub-categories respectively are Danial Imran Suhaimi of Kolej MARA Seremban and Zaherul Imran Ali of IIUM Kuantan.
In first place for Tarannum and Tilawah sub-categories respectively are Muhammad Amirul Arif Ahmad Sabri of UiTM Shah Alam and Arwa Khairuddin of UniKL Royal College of Medicine, Perak.
Tahriri Selected Surah and Juz 30, Juz 1-0, and Juz 1-5 were respectively won by Nabila Munierah Sobihy Mohammad of UiTM Shah Alam, and Mohamad Nasrullah Hassanudin of UNITEN.
Six sub-categories in the Secondary School category presented 17 winners.
In first place for the Hafazan of Selected Surah and Juz 30, Juz 1-10, and Juz 1-5 sub-categories respectively are Ahmad Faris Hanafi Mohd Hakimi of SBI, Ahmad Faris Iqbal Mohd Roslan of SBPI Rawang, and Shashahani Irdina Shamsul Rizal of MRSM Ulul Albab in Sungai Besar.
Two winners in the Secondary School Tarannum sub-category are from Yayasan MSU’s SBI; Nurul Huda Dzulhadi in second place, and Aisy Alyna Aspanizam in third place. In first place for Secondary School Tarannum and Tilawah sub-categories respectively are Muhammad Amir Hashim Mohd Mazziudin of SMKA Kuala Selangor and Muhammad Isyraf Haidzir of MRSM Ulul Albab, Sungai Besar.
Tahriri Juz 1-5 presented only two winners; Nurin Hannani Ahmad Kamal in first place, and Nurkhairina Anissa Hairol Hanim in second place; both from SAMT Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.
A total of 602 participated across 27 sub-categories in the MSU Quranic League (MQL) 2023 championship organized by the Centre for Fundamental Studies (CFS) at Management and Science University (MSU).
