Management and Science University (MSU) has initiated a new international collaboration with Western Sydney University (WSU) in Australia.

The agreement, signed early August this year, primarily allows students on the Bachelor in International Business (Hons) programme at MSU in Malaysia and the Diploma in Business Management programme at MSU’s Management and Science Institute (MSI) in Sri Lanka to commence studies on the Bachelor of Business programme at WSU.

Among those present at the virtual signing ceremony held on August 5, 2021 were WSU Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Barney Glover and WSU School of Business Dean Amir Mahmood.

All intending applicants to the MSU-WSU collaborative Bachelor of Business programme may consider the February and the July intakes of Western Sydney University (WSU). They must also present IELTS scores of 6.5 overall and 6.0 minimum in each band before commencing studies at WSU.

Students who have successfully completed two years on the Bachelor in International Business (Hons) programme at MSU’s Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) in Shah Alam Section 13 will be eligible to articulate to the Bachelor of Business (International Business) programme at WSU.

Those who have successfully completed MSI’s Diploma in Business Management programme in Colombo may articulate to either the Bachelor of Business (Applied Finance, Economics, International Business, Sport Management) or to the Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing) programme at WSU.

“Despite the global pandemic, we are still able to connect and engage,” remarked MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid; “and this demonstrates our commitment and readiness to move forward,” he continued.

“I strongly believe there are still a lot to be discovered. With this partnership involving dual degree, joint degree, research, staff exchange, and student mobility, further opportunities for MSU and WSU to gain new knowledge, form new networks, and facilitate internships may be explored.”
