Management and Science University (MSU) has begun yet another international collaboration to benefit its future students of Optometry and Vision Science.

Signed in August 2021, the MoA with Chongqing Meilu Meishi Education Technology Co. Ltd (MELU) seeks to establish a university-industry relationship in academic exchanges and holistic training.

Its areas of cooperation include a progression to MSU for students of optometry and ophthalmic studies at MELU institutions, teaching and research, faculty and staff exchanges, and student internships.

The new collaboration shall be a joint effort in developing future talents through combined and mutually recognized clinical-based study and training.

Twenty places are allocated to the students from China annually for five years, with MSU providing clinical-based optometry and/or postgraduate programmes to graduates from MELU-affiliated institutions.

Included along with the clinical and professional training are internships at both undergraduate and graduate levels; joint educational and research activities; exchanges of academic materials and publications as well as members of faculty and staff; seminars, joint conferences, and educational meetings; and ophthalmic instrumentation across teaching and research.
