Management and Science University (MSU) established an official partnership with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Selangor & Kuala Lumpur on August 1 to foster industry-academia collaboration.
The collaboration between MSU and FMM Selangor & Kuala Lumpur primarily focuses on (1) industry engagement in core academia activities, including curriculum development, programmes enhancement and dynamic teaching and learning; (2) participation in research and development and innovation projects using external grants; (3) joint activities such as training, workshops, seminars, and conferences; and (4) industry linkages for students and lecturers to enhance their knowledge and exposure to real industry working environments.
MSU joined hands with FMM in the past few years through MSU-FMM Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference (2018), FMM Selangor Young Entrepreneur Programme (2019), MSU Bizweek (2019), MSU Entrepreneurship Week (2019), and Occupational Safety and Health Conference (2023).
Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, MSU President and Dr. Helena Eian Yeut Lan, Branch Chairman FMM Selangor & KL, also the Managing Director of Accel Graphic System Sdn Bhd, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advocate future endeavours. They were accompanied by Professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Ghazali, Senior Vice President for Industry Linkages & Entrepreneurship and Dato’ Palaniappan Joseph, Vice Branch Chairman of FMM Selangor & KL.
