Management and Science University (MSU) has held the 14th edition of the MSU Idea Regeneration Expo (iReX) this December.

 

Organized by the Faculty of Information Science and Engineering (FISE) at the MSU Chancellor Hall on campus at Shah Alam Section 13, iReX XIV counted a total of 715 students presenting their projects including 222 with their final-year ones; as well as a combined 739 participations from MSU, Jakarta Global University (JGU), Indonesia Polytechnics, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), and UiTM Shah Alam.

 

 

Twelve received the IReX 14.0 Innovative Awards for excellent quality with significant contribution to society through research in the key areas of Big Data, Cyber Security, and New Media Technology; Education and Learning Technology; Social Sciences Technology; Engineering Innovation Technology; and Sustainable Energy.

 

 

Receiving their Plaque and Certificate each from MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, who officiated the three-day event’s closing ceremony last Friday, were Alexander Eugine Yih for Design and Development of an IOT Virtual Doctor Robot (IVDR) for the Hospital Station and Toto Satrio Wibowo for Automatic Potato Peeling Machine, both from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering programme; Ashwin Subramaniam for Face Manipulation and Fake Detection using Deepfake and Ahmad Syakhir Fitri Mohd Shahril for Real‐Time Smart Traffic Monitoring Security System, both from the Bachelor in Computer Forensic (Honours) programme; Amira Natasya Nabiha Azlan for Reverse Steganograph and Shin Kar Hao for Predictive Parkinson’s Disease Detection using Machine Learning, both from the Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons) programme; Mohamad Adnan Mohamad Ayob for Development of IoT-based Monitoring System for Chicken Farming using Raspberry Pi, from the Bachelor in Computer Engineering (Honours) programme; Harvien Gengaesperan for IoT-based Flood Monitoring and Alerting System using Raspberry Pi, from the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical and Electronic) (Honours) programme; Teoh Xin Yee for Development of Mobile-Learning for Early Education, from the Bachelor in Creative Multimedia (Honours) programme; Haslamwisan Hamiros for Design of Post-Covid-19 Game to Enhance Knowledge and Awareness of Hoax Information, from the Bachelor in Game Design and Animation (Hons) programme; Khushboo Gundroo for Understanding the Principles of Biomimicry in Graphic Design, from the Bachelor in Graphic Design (Hons) programme; and Afiqah Mustakim for A Publication Texture Impact on Education and Learning for Early Children, from the Bachelor in Visual Communication and Marketing (Hons) programme.

 

 

Six received the iReX XIV e-Poster Competition awards; Alfianto Herakarsono and Erma Dearni Wati Sukarma of JGU, Naufal Ghani Achmani and Novia Nurhasanah Arrasyid of UNAIR, as well as Muhammad Nasri Zulkifli and Siti Fadzillah Nurain Sidi Omar of UiTM.

Seminar speakers from among members of the MSU Alumni Association were G-Asia Pacific Senior Cloud Consultant Ts Eddy Ramlin (Bachelor in Computer Engineering (Hons)) and Sicpa Malaysia Test Lead Quality’s Shakkeel Ahmad Saleem Ahmad (Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons)); and from members of industry were ISACA Malaysia Academic Director, Securemetrics Technology CEO, ORS Technologies Product Solution Manager, and Cuber Lab Chief Technical Expert.
