The Student and Career Development Department and the University Staff Club of Management and Science University (MSU) organised the MSU Walk for Humanity 2023.
This 5-mile walk in support of the global humanity crisis in Palestine and Gaza drew massive voluntary participation from over 4,000 MSUrians and the Shah Alam community across cultural backgrounds, which further illuminated the University’s commitment to advocating inclusivity and diversity, values, and compassion in tandem with skills and knowledge that are wholeheartedly embraced by the institution.
Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Abd Yajid, the President of MSU; Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr. Junainah Abd Hamid, the Vice Chancellor of MSU; and the senior management team were also present at the event.
Inaugurating the event was Professor Dr. Mohd Shukri.
Activities such as selling stickers, face painting, hand painting at the Wall of Peace, a colouring competition, sand art stickers, a humanity collage competition, placard design, a lucky draw for MSU students, as well as best humanity attire were put together in conjunction with the walk.
Among the lucky draw winners were Wong Yi Xian of the Diploma in Graphic Design at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE), Nur Ashikin Azman of the Bachelor in Office Management Technology at the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP), Cris Pillai David of the Diploma in Counselling and Guidance at the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS), Ainees Hayani Kamal of the Bachelor in Patisserie Arts (Hons) at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA), Kummutha Ramesh of the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Technology (Hons) at the School of Pharmacy (SPH), and Abdelrahman I.A. Alnahar, a Pakistani pursuing the Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons) at FISE.
The winners for the Most Happening Faculty and Department were the FBMP and Finance Department, respectively.
