Management and Science University (MSU) co-hosted the Global MADANI Interact on February 12 in the Performing Arts Theatre of MSU.

Carrying the theme ‘Muafakat Indonesia-Malaysia for Economic Growth and Security Stability of ASEAN in the Digital Age Era,’ the Global MADANI Interact organised by the Madani Research Centre was held in conjunction with the Global MADANI Awards, which honours, celebrates, and supports international transformative contributions to society that embody the six pillars of Malaysia MADANI, namely Sustainability, Care and Compassion, Respect, Innovation, Prosperity, and Trust.

Delivering the keynote lecture was Vice Foreign Minister, Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Arif Havas Oegroseno. He is an active academic, serving on the International Panel of the Centre for International Law (NUS) and the Executive Committee of the Asian Society of International Law.

 

 

H.E. Arif Havas Oegroseno shed light on the essentialness of Indonesia-Malaysia collaboration in shaping the economic and security landscape of ASEAN. His lecture focused on how both nations can strengthen ties for mutual prosperity, leveraging technological innovation and regional cooperation in the digital era through the landscapes of geopolitics, geoeconomics, the rise of techno-geopolitics, and digital kings.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed diplomats, including H.E. Dato’ Indera Hermono, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Malaysia; Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar @ Yusre Hajo Mohd Akin, Senior Political Secretary to Prime Minister of Malaysia; H.E. Adelhafid Bounour, The Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; H.E. Mr. Ekitela R.J. Moru, Ambassador of Kenya; Mohammad Khorshed A Khastagir, Minister Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh; and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of Indonesia, MADANI Research Centre, and Prime Minister’s Office.

Dato' Rosli Yusof, Senior Vice President Endowment & Communications, welcomed them, as did MSU's senior management team.

 

 

In addition to distinguished speakers and ambassadors, the event, which solidifies the beyond-shore partnerships the University strives for, included MSU students, creating an opportunity for the next generation of leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue.
