The Library & Resource Centre (LRC) at Management and Science University (MSU) hosted seven secondary educational institutions in late February for an information literacy workshop.
The Librarian (Bengkel Literasi Maklumat 2025) was a workshop designed to assess the participants’ level of awareness, cognitive capabilities, and ability to apply information literacy skills, while also fostering their teamwork spirit and communication skills in problem-solving through collective information retrieval and utilising information technology in learning.
The flagship programme, which took place at the Performing Arts Theatre, was participated by form six students from SMK Cyberjaya, SMK Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, SMK Agama Putrajaya, Kolej Tingkatan Enam (KTE) Pudu Jaya, KTE Shah Alam, KTE Puchong, and KTE Bandar Utama.
Gracing the closing and prize-giving ceremony were Miskiah Tijan, Vice President for Engagement & Enrolment; Suzana Hamzah, Chief Librarian (LRC); and Airman Ariff Mahmood, Director of Bengkel Literasi Maklumat MSU 2025.
Quizzes were administered in both individual and group categories during the workshop.
The quiz's individual category prize winners were Amirul Hizzad Azmi of KTE Pudu Jaya, Teoh Yun Qi of KTE Bandar Utama, Tan Kia Jee of KTE Bandar, Irdina Nazylnn Qaisara of SMK Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, and Loo Zhi Wei of KTE Puchong.
KTE Bandar Utama emerged as the champion in the group category, with KTE Puchong and KTE Bandar Utama securing the positions of first and second runners-up, respectively. KTE Shah Alam and SMK Cyberjaya secured fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
