Management and Science University (MSU) has held the 12th edition of its biannual Idea Regeneration Expo (iReX), organized by the MSU Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) mid-January in 2022.

 

Members of industry present at iReX 12.0 to exchange MoUs with MSU were Suncrox Solar, Admal Aviation College, Isaca Malaysia Chapter, and Quocent.

 

Six students received awards across the Expo’s competition categories themed Towards Sustainable Development through Eco-Innovations.

 

 

Receiving the Best Poster Award for his “Design of a Smart Infrastructure Covid-19 Monitoring, Communication and Technology Operation System” was Kesavan Selvaraju from the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical and Electronic) (Hons) programme at FISE’s Department of Engineering Technology (ENT).

 

Best 3MP went to Kathikgesu Jayamani from the Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons) programme at FISE’s Department of Information Sciences and Computing (ISC) for his “Smart Umbrella System Using Raspberry Pi based on IOT”.

 

 

Siti Nurfarina Ahmad Rizal from Bachelor in Graphic Design (Hons) at FISE's Department of Media Science and Graphic (MSG) received iReX 12.0’s Innovative Aesthetic Award for her “Mobile Application to Educate Good Skincare Habits in Young Adults”.

 

 

iReX’s Innovative Award went out to three more: to Amarnath Paramesvaran from Bachelor in Computer Science (Hons) for “Detecting Deforestation in Malaysia using Digital Image Processing Technique”; to Sharifah Athirah Sharif Zulkepele from Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) for “Design and implementation of O-Wind turbine and Solar Tracking System for Highway Street Light”; and to Muhammad Iqmal Danial Abdul Halim from Bachelor in Creative Multimedia (Hons) for “Development of Augmented Reality: AR Men’s Dermatology”.

 

 

The 12th Idea Regeneration Expo (iReX) by Management and Science University concluded with the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) presenting MSU Foundation Yayasan MSU (YMSU) with a three thousand Ringgit contribution.
