Management and Science University (MSU) has held an Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asia Digital Art and Design Association (ADADA) International Alliance.

 

Organized by MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE), it gathered key players of industry across Virtual and Augmented Reality, Games and Multimedia Development, Photography and Film-Making, and Interior Design.

 

The AGM launch by MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid had Bachelor in Creative Multimedia (Hons) student Izzahtul Shahreena present her work on the ADADA Malaysia and Media Science and Graphic (MSG) Virtual Gallery.

 

Against the focus concept of ‘Technology that drives the dynamic Malaysian culture’, the work on display was themed Responsible Cities and Communities – the 11th of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

 

Carrying the theme into community engagement with the urban poor at PPR Lembah Subang 1 was a collaboration with Canon Malaysia.

 

Distributing fifty grocery packs and 150 sets of i-Care hygiene kits, it also presented RM150,000 worth of medical equipment – wheelchair, wheelchair toilet, medical bed, 2-in-1 walking frame, and adult pampers – to five recipients.

 

 

The ADADA AGM concluded with prizes given away for the ADADA Mascot competition, and MoUs signed with new partners of industry; IDW Design & Build and Kort Studio for interior design, Inspedia for Games and Animation, and SHUT for Production and Event Management.

 

 

The prize-winners were Farah Batrisya Samhan from the Bachelor in Graphic Design (Hons) programme in first place, who received RM250 in cash; Muhammad Syafiq Mahathir of Bachelor in Games Design and Animation (Hons) in second place with RM150; and Aimar Ilham Zulhimi of Diploma in Graphic Design in third place with RM100.

The cash prizes were sponsored by Kay Nuriqs Photography and Event Management.
