Bachelor of Medical Sciences Proveen Krishnan Ravi Krishanan has MSU to thank for the opportunity of blooming into his best self. The youngest among five siblings born to a lorry-driver father and a home-maker mother is the family’s only one having attended university.

“I had been an introvert throughout my school years. MSU transformed me, thanks to Professor Tan Sri for his inspiration, SCD [the MSU Student and Career Development department] for guidance on all the activities we organized through the MSU Facilitators Club, and all my lecturers at IMS for their copious amount of motivation. I pledge to give back to my alma mater, as an alumni.”

With his strong base through the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Hons) programme, Mohd Shukri Yajid (MSY) Scholar Proveen Krishnan Ravi Krishanan is advancing to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at MSU’s International Medical School (IMS) Bangalore campus this April. The future doctor is also setting his sights on the Master in Medical Physiology programme at MSU’s School of Graduate Studies (SGS), along the pathway of his dream to lecturing on the subject – probably, as he said it, at his own alma mater MSU.
