Management and Science University (MSU) earned 12 awards at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2025.
MTE 2025 recorded nine participations from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS), the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE), the School of Pharmacy (SPH), and the Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (AICS), Software Engineering and Digital Innovation Centre (SEnDI) at MSU.
The research initiatives accentuate 11 among 37 of MSU’s key research areas, which are applied health science, medical sciences, traditional & complementary medicine, art and design, 21st-century education (game), community interventions (special needs autism spectrum), sustainable energy, environmental sustainability, engineering, innovative solutions, green technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, and cybersecurity.
Winning each outstanding, special, and gold award for MSU was Anti-Inflammatory, Anti-Apoptosis and Pro-Angiogenic Growth Factors Modulating Potentials of OriMili®️ (Cordyceps militaris Extract) in Treating Diabetic Retinopathy. The research was led by Muhammad Danial Ramli (FHLS) with his team members Dr. Syntyche Seow Ling Sing (Ganofarm), Dr. Cheng Poh Guat (Ganofarm), Dr. Noor Aishah Izham (MSU), Dr. Mahathir Mohd Uzid (MSU), Amanina Nurjannah Atan Hamdan (MSU), Dr. Hussin Muhamad (IMR), Dr. Syahida Maarof (MARDI), Dr. Zulkapli Eshak (UiTM), and Dr. Nelli Giribabu (UM).
Home-Based Busy Kit with Gamified Visual Sensory Activities: Enhancing Young Children's Motor Skills and Sensory Development for Preschool Readiness won each special and gold award, research led by Revathi Aruchunan from FISE, with her team members Dr. Yahya Abdullah (FISE), Lew Jia Hao (Bachelor in Graphic Design), and Muhammad Farid Adham Roslan (Bachelor in Games Design and Animation).
Four silver awards were secured, one each from FISE, AICS, SenDI, and SPH:
