Management and Science University (MSU) has held its 31st Convocation Ceremony this May.

 

A thousand five hundred and thirty-two from 102 academic programmes received their scroll at the MSU Chancellor Hall in Shah Alam Section 13.

 

The three-session event held over two days saw 15 conferred a PhD, 49 a Master’s degree, 581 a Bachelor’s degree, and 887 a Diploma.

 

 

The School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) presented the most number of graduates (379), whilst the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) and the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) each presented the most number of programmes (20).

 

The Master in Educational Management and Leadership programme at the Graduate School of Management (GSM) presented its first graduating cohort (4 graduates), as did the Master of Anatomy programme at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) (1 graduate).

 

Also graduating were a hundred and three international students.

 

Forty graduates received an award from five categories of Best Students.

 

The Chancellor Gold Medal Award went to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the International Medical School (IMS) Dr Danielle Valerinna Charles, who gave the valedictory throughout the three sessions of the convocation.

 

The President Award went to Doctor of Philosophy (Management/ Business) Ahmed Ali Jaleel of SGS, Bachelor in Cardiovascular Technology (Hons) Muhammad Aidil Azami from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS), and Diploma in Culinary Arts graduate Aida Qistina Uzma Mohd Yusoff from the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA).

 

The Mohd Shukri Yajid Outstanding Award went to Bachelor in Psychology (Hons) Umassree Murugesan from the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS).

 

Twenty-three received an Academic Award and twelve an Industry Award.

 

Present at the 31st Convocation Ceremony of Management and Science University were MSU Chancellor the Regent of Kedah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid who delivered the presidential address, and MSU vice-chancellor Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid.
