Management and Science University (MSU) alumna Nur Khalidah Mohd Musa from the MSU School of Pharmacy (SPH) has received the MPS-Duopharma Biotech Gold Medalist Award 2019 from the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS).

 

The award, presented annually to top final-year pharmacy students of local universities, recognizes academic as well as co-curricular excellence.

 

“MSU played a major role in moulding me into the person I am today. My learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom built my character with leadership qualities and people skills,” said the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) ’19.   

 

 

Nur Khalidah was announced among the award winners at the MPS National Pharmacists Convention (NPC) 2020 held virtually late October. She who is undergoing Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP) training at the Cheras Health Clinic in Kuala Lumpur, and at the Putrajaya Hospital for three months in between, expresses gratification at being recognized by the pharmaceutical industry.   

 

“This award means a lot to me as I am passionate about advancing in my career. It is an invaluable motivation to work harder in contributing to society and becoming more successful in future.”

 

 

Nur Khalidah’s achievement follows in the footsteps of alumna Yong Rahimah Saharul Rahman, Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) ’18 and MPS-Duopharma Biotech Gold Medalist 2018.

 

Other such achievers among MSU’s pharmacy graduates receiving the award known as the MPS-CCM Biotech Gold Medal between its introduction in 2011 and up to 2017 are Larry Lee Liang Seng (2011), Nurfathin Diyana Nordin (2012), Tan Poh Yen (2013), Shurendran Vilazatham (2014), Sumarmi Hayu Kusmahani Mattasan (2015), Preejashini John Jayaraj (2016), and Sherilyn Fenn Karel (2017).
