With her unofficial personal training record of an hour 30 minutes against a distance of 21km, athletics star Kothanaayagi Sivakumar of MSU College (MSUC) is set to go farther and higher, running.

 

 

The athlete who received Anugerah Insan Terbilang Negeri Sembilan thrice – in 2016, 2017, and 2018 – has bagged four gold and three bronze medals this year.

 

 

She bagged gold in both 3,000m and 5,000m steeplechase at the 97th Malaysia Open Athletics Championship 2022 – clocking 19m 24s in the 5,000m run; gold in 3,000m steeplechase and bronze in 5,000m steeplechase at the 34th Kejohanan Olahraga Terbuka POWPKL – Milo 2022; gold in 5,000m steeplechase and bronze in 3,000m steeplechase at Kejohanan Olahraga Terbuka Johor 2022; and bronze in 3,000m steeplechase at SUKMA XX 2022.

 

 

A former student of Sekolah Ampuan Tuanku Najihah, Negeri Sembilan, Kotha is currently studying for a Diploma in Management at MSUC Seremban.
