The culture of excellence is much embraced at MSU campus. This culture of celebrating academic excellence, whilst rooted in values, is a reflect of the university aims in transforming lives & enriching the lives of others. This echoed when seven hundred forty-four graduated MSU College was celebrated in the graduation ceremony held at the Management and Science University Chancellor Hall in Shah Alam Section 13, comprising 50 graduates of Diploma and 154 graduate of certificate holders across disciplines like Health Sciences, Information Sciences & Engineering, Education, Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
Seventeen graduates received the excellence awards across four categories. Diploma in Graphic Design graduate Joann Priyanka is convocation 23’s President Gold Award Winner, whilst Diploma in Management graduate Firhan Kat Faisal Kat Tze Hoong received the Mohd Shukri Yajid Award. Eleven made the Academic Award list and four the Industry Award.

Furthermore, four graduates received the Industry Awards, Norhaina Binti Asali (Proton Holdings Berhad), Puteri Lia Shazleena Binti Ahmad Razemi (Puncak Niaga Holdings Berhad), Farah Hanan Binti Abdullah (Cenviro Sdn Bhd) and Angel Mooi Kang Ling (Mega Fortris (M) Sdn Bhd).
In addition, they include 36 graduates from The Royal Malaysian Navy which is the fourth group to complete the Diploma in Hotel Management.
Joann, 25, graduate from MSU College Seremban said, having a good time management is an important key when pursuing higher education.

Although busy with helping her mother for several hours a day, she still managed to give full commitment for her study and scored a cumulative grade point average of 4.0.
Sewing made Joann realize she likes drawing patterns and designs and it has driven her passion into graphic design.
“I am a shy person and during my studies, I was given the opportunity to lead and it has really improved my self-confidence, communication skills, working well in team and more. I am totally different now, “she said.
MSU and MSU College President, Tan Sri Dato Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid says, nowadays the institution of higher education should not only divulge in knowledge but also emphasize on building character.

“We want to create high value graduates that have a holistic and well-rounded education with a balance of knowledge and soft skills. It is not only just about grades but also building character,” said Prof Shukri.

Present at the ceremony was Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin as Chairman of MSU College and MSU Chancellor Group. Also present were Professor Tan Sri Dato 'Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid, MSU President & MSU College Group and Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr. Junainah Abd Hamid as the Vice Chancellor of MSU.
