About the Course
The core of MSU's Diploma in Nursing programme is the integration of practice and care aspects of nursing. As a nursing student, you will be involved in a comprehensive learning experience involving classroom work, activities in simulation wards, practical rooms, and skills lab.
You will be trained by lecturers with extensive training in nursing, who share their expertise whilst keeping you abreast with the latest developments in the healthcare field. Nursing is a challenging profession, requiring students to have mental and emotional strength.

Attachments with partner hospitals and community health clinics at the end of the programme ensure you graduate industry-ready for a career in nursing.
Entry Requirements
- SPM or Equivalent Qualifications:
You must have passed SPM minimum THREE (3) credits.
These credits must include:

- Pass in any TWO (2) subjects includes English.

- Possess Assistant Nurse Certificate/ Community Nurse Certificate
- Registered with the MNB
- Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses from MNB.
- Minimum THREE (3) years clinical experience.
- Vocational Certificate (SVM)
You must have obtained at least minimum C for the subjects.

Pass in International Language Testing System (IELST) with an Overall Band Score of minimum 5.5

- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
- TOEFL Paper Based Test (TOEFL PBT) a minimum score of 515
- TOEFL Computer Based Test (TOEFL CBT) a minimum score of 215
- TOEFL Internet Based Test (TOEFL IBT) a minimum score of 80
- Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)
- Cambridge Proficiency English (CPE)
- Pearson Test of English (PTE)
- Health Status
- All candidates MUST be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within ONE (1) MONTH from commencement of the nursing programme.
- A person with any of the following shall be disqualified from entry into a nursing programme.
- Serious physical or mental illness, and/ or
- Serious communicable disease
- Candidates MUST not have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.
