The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic poses significant challenges to the global education system. The limitation of travelling abroad, caused international exposure to be unachievable, but the Faculty of Information Sciences & Engineering found an innovative way to still offer international exposure which allows the students to access resources and interact virtually.

FISE offers the Global Leadership Programme (GLP) namely Embracing New Norm Global Learning Experiences from 14th August to 20th August 2021. This programme also supports SDG 4 for Quality Education, involving students from faculty and MSU partner universities. It aims to provide virtual global exposure which broadens the student’s horizon in learning experiences.

The first event conducted for students were a virtual visit to the MSU partner industry that is DreamEDGE Sdn Bhd. This virtual visit exposes the participant to the world of telecommunication engineering and gets insight into facilities and technologies.

The next day, the students attended talks on Aircraft & Engineering World.


The final event that they had experienced was the virtual talk on 2D GIF animated techniques social media advertisement awareness. This event was also participated by FISE international students from Maldives, Brunei, Algerian, China, Egyptian, India, Indonesia, Pakistan & the Philippines. The objective of this talk was to help young entrepreneurs create good business promotion and ideation through element and technique on social media. Overall, the programme provided great opportunities for the students to expand their knowledge about technology in different environment.
