Virtual Mentor-Mentee Gathering
The mentorship programme is a required component at MSU College. The main objective of the activity is to establish a good relationship between mentor and mentee, despite the ongoing pandemic.
The mentoring activity, My MSU Familia, was done virtually via the Google Meet platform. Although they conducted the activity online, there were various online activities they had participated in during the program, such as performances from mentors vs mentees, online games, video competitions, and sharing sessions from principals.
These mentoring activities include sharing sessions with MSU College alumni to increase students' motivation in continuing their studies during these challenging situations. The focus of the session was on alumni who were the frontliners during this COVID-19 pandemic situation. Among the alumni invited to this program was Dr Fatimah Sabrina Binti Muhammad, the Assistant Director of Primary Health, Sabah State Health Department.
MSU College Sabah students also had the opportunity to share knowledge and experience from medical officers (UD41) and medical laboratory technologists (JTMP29) in dealing with Covid-19. From this sharing session, students understood the importance of SOP compliance and vaccination in curbing cases of Covid-19 infection, especially in Sabah.
