The 2017 Para ASEAN Games ended last week and in case you don’t know, our very own MSUrians were among its thousands of Wau Volunteers! The South Asian multi-sport event for the disabled was held from the 17th to the 23rd of September 2017. Missed the whole thing? Here’s reliving some sparkling moments of MSUrians on their volunteer of duty!
Into the games …
The three teams that our volunteers joined were: Team Medical and Doping, Team Media and ICT, and Team F&B and Accommodation.
Before they began with the volunteering, they were trained on-campus by the Ministry of Youth and Sport. The energy was high on this one. Just look at those happy faces, gung-ho to go, ready to volunteer!
One of the volunteers shared a live update of the opening ceremony! What great national spirit she showed there! Proud MSUrian, proud Malaysian!
The opening ceremony was amazing! Look at all those lights lighting up the Bukit Jalil National Stadium!

A LOT of our MSUrian Wau volunteers shared their on-duty moments, which were all outta this world! We had a little trouble choosing which ones to feature in this article, but here are some we think worth sharing!

It was goodbyes all-around and marvelling at what a great experience volunteering at the games was! The 2017 ASEAN Para Games closed with a special message for the volunteers, which was such a bang that it was just amazing!
