Industry success stories a compass to the future at Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference 2018 hosted by Management and Science University (MSU)

Management and Science University (MSU) recently hosted the MSU-FMM Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference 2018 as a platform for industry insights to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs in their own journey navigating an entrepreneurial future.

Co-organized with the Selangor branch of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and the Selangor State Government, the conference was held at the MSU Performance Art Theatre on campus in Shah Alam.

Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid opened the conference with his message of acquiring knowledge and embracing change. The MSU President called on the audience of undergraduates to not fear change as it is inevitable, but to approach it with knowledge.

“The knowledge-driven approach is important, with lifelong learning as a component. Utilize all learning platforms and go beyond borders, to build your knowledge and global competitiveness.”

FMM President Dato’ Soh Thian Lai kicked off the sharing session by luminaries of the entrepreneur world. First to share lessons from his success was MTS Fibromat (M) Sdn Bhd CEO Mr Danny Ng, who presented the story of his “Comeback Kid” younger self. The “Journey to Success” of FAVE Co-Founder Mr Yeoh Chen Chow inspired aspiring entrepreneurs to take the plunge with a nothing-to-lose, yes-I-can attitude; to fight through and to build on, with determination and belief that there is always something that can be done.
