Management and Science University (MSU) launched the MSU Children’s Festival 2018 with a rebranding of its on-campus nursery MSU Kids.

Rebranding of the nursery school established in 2008 is significant to meeting the demands of 21st century education, with the aim for quality child care and early childhood education to provide smooth transition into primary education.

Children are an asset to the country and future generations,” said MSU President, Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid. “The rebranding moves MSU Kids forward to the next level, in pace with the university’s development.”

Officiating the soft launch of the rebranding, the MSU President went on to lay out new aspects of MSU Kids.

The nursery will now be a part of the School of Education and Sciences (SESS) teaching lab for both teaching and internship.

It shall also be a commercialization component in the SESS ecosystem, as with other research work done at MSU.

Already a caring component of the university in its efforts at providing a workplace conducive to staff welfare, MSU Kids is set to bloom into an entrepreneurial platform for MSU’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) students keen on a franchise of the brand.

The launch of the rebranding and MSU Children's Festival 2018 was made all the merrier by a fashion show as well as performances by MSU Kids and students of Early Childhood Education from MSU's School of Education and Social Sciences.

Activities in the two-day festival themed Bringing out the Scientist in Young Children counted the the Young Scientist Fashion Show and the Young Scientist Volcano Experiment Competition.

Around two hundred children from various pre-schools took part in MSU Children’s Festival 2018.

Competitions in Dodgeball and Aerodance saw inter-varsity participation by students of Early Childhood Education from universities in the Klang Valley.

Finishing first and third in Aerodance were MSU College Shah Alam and Management and Science University (MSU); the second place went to University of Malaya.
