About the Course

The music composition and arranging degree programme at Management and Science University (MSU) will equip you with knowledge in western music history as well as music of the 20th and 21st centuries. It will hone your aural proficiency towards developing your harmonizing, orchestration, and arranging competencies. You will study composition in four modules and participate in composition seminars. MIDI & Programming, dissertation, and a final project towards the end of your studies prepare you for industrial training in your final semester. Bachelor in Music (Composition and Arranging) (Honours) is delivered by the Department of Creative Arts at the School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA).

Entry Requirements
Applicants who have passed STPM or equivalent, with at least a C (2.00 CGPA) in any two (2) subjects; OR A-Levels, with at least a Pass in two (2) relevant subjects; OR SAM with ATAR 70, with a B in two (2) relevant subjects; OR CPU, averaging 70% in two (2) relevant subjects; OR STAM, with Jayyid; OR UEC, with a B in five (5) subjects; OR Matriculation/Foundation, with 2.00 CGPA, from a Higher Education Provider recognized by the Government of Malaysia; OR Diploma (MQF Level 4) or equivalent, with at least 2.00 CGPA, from MSU College, Polytechnic, IKM, Community College, or others; OR SKM (MOH Level 4) or equivalent, with at least 2.00 CGPA; OR any other qualifications recognized as equivalent by MSU Senate or the Government of Malaysia.
