Getting Into & Around Shah Alam

A student-friendly city that's easy to access, Shah Alam is a great place to get around. MSU's stunning campus is only 40-50 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur and 10 minutes away from the main city centre in Shah Alam. If you're from KLIA or KLIA2, the journey to MSU takes approximately 40-45 minutes.

The city has an excellent public transportation system; accessible via its free and frequent bus service run by the yellow 'Smart Selangor' bus. The bus service is a viable way for students to travel around the city or its surrounding areas. For more details, see http://www.mbsa.gov.my/ms-my/mbsa/arkib/Halaman/operasi_dan-laluan-bas_selangorku.aspx?mid=834

The city is also well-connected by major highways such as the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), and the North-South Highway (Plus).
