A total of 2,200 comprising 1,800 students of PEC and 400 members of staff from MSU Main Campus in Shah Alam Section 13 attended the closing ceremony of MSU MyDay 2022; joined by eleven Zoom-ins from ten branches of MSU College nationwide and one MSU Offshore Campus in Bangalore.

 

Performances of Joget Malaysia, 1 Malaysia Dance, and Cabang Tiga by MSU’s Performing Arts and Culture Club (PACC) opened the ceremony; as well as Choral Speaking by the Co-Curricular Society.

 

 

Flag bearers comprising medallists of SUKIPT 2022 were led into the MSU Chancellor Hall by Malaysia’s Top Marathoner Edan Syah from the Bachelor in Education (Physical Education and Health) (Hons) programme at the School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS).

 

 

Unveiling the ‘Saya Anak Malaysia’ placard received from both the Micro-Credential student and MSU Student Representatives Council (SRC) president Danielle Valerinna Charles was MSU president Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

 

In his address, Professor Tan Sri Dr Shukri emphasized the importance of togetherness in building jiwa merdeka.

 

Cultivating the soul of independence by celebrating Merdeka and Malaysia Day with the spirit of teguh bersama gives meaning beyond August 31 and September 16, said the MSU president.

 

 

The MSU MyDay 2022 Closing Ceremony, which concluded the month-long Merdeka and Malaysia Day festival – an annual tradition at Management and Science University (MSU) – saw prizes given out to winners of personal competency competitions held between the opening and the closing ceremonies of MSU MyDay 2022; Merdeka Tenpin 2022, Traditional Game Batu Seremban, Kuih-Muih Warrior, Victory League: Merdeka Edition 2022 (FIFA, Mobile Legend, PUBG, Velorent), and MSU MYDAY Sketch 2022.

 

A contribution of RM4,000 was made to MSU Foundation Yayasan MSU (YMSU); received by MSU Senior Vice-President for Endowment and Communication and YMSU Vice-President Dato’ Rosli Yusof.
