Management and Science University (MSU) has become the newest member of the Asia Digital Art and Design Association (ADADA) International Alliance, with the University’s formation and launch of ADADA Malaysia.

 

Initiated by MSU’s Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) Department of Media Science and Graphic (MSG), the launch of ADADA Malaysia on campus at the Performing Arts Theatre (PAT) early April was officiated by Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

 

Joining the MSU President via Zoom were Professor Dr Kunio Kondo from Tokyo University of Technology as President of ADADA International and ADADA Japan and Dr Friska Natalia as President of ADADA Indonesia.

 

 

Also attending were industry members Bulb Communique, Kino Cinema, and Light Up 7; academic member ASWARA; and Mr Hassan Abdul Muthalib, who is considered by many in the industry to be the father of Malaysian animation.

 

 

The launch itinerary included a digital hula-hoop light show by Bachelor in Games Design and Animation (Hons) student Yong Bang Yang and a video montage themed Chantek, A Contour of Art by Danish Haikal Asman, a recent graduate of Bachelor in Creative Multimedia (Hons).

 

 

Three competition prizes for each category were given out for myGreen river photography, comic design, and illustration.

 

 

Two exhibitions displayed artwork from the myGreen river photography competition at PAT foyer and digital artwork at U-Plaza. 

 

 

Prior to the launch, Management and Science University (MSU) had topped the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021 in Art and Design, with MSU’s School of Hospitality and Creative Arts (SHCA) emerging the #1 school for fashion design in Malaysia.
