Management and Science University (MSU) through MSU Foundation Yayasan MSU (YMSU) and in collaboration with partners of industry presented zakat to orphans in the University’s Ihya Ramadan tradition recently.

 

 

Delivering the Sustainable Development Goals 10 for reducing inequalities and 17 for partnership strengthening the means of implementation, YMSU presented the alms to a hundred and eighty orphans from fifteen orphanages in the Klang Valley at an iftar held in MSU Chancellor Hall.

 

 

Two among the orphanages have been recipients of the MSU Zakat since 2011 – Rumah Kasih Harmoni and Rumah Kebajikan dan Bimbingan At-Taqwa.

 

Presenting the zakat was MSU President Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

Present were MSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Puan Sri Datuk Dr Junainah Abd Hamid, and MSU Senior Vice-President for Endowment and Communication who is also YMSU Vice-President Dato’ Rosli Yusof.

 

 

Over twenty representatives from thirteen industry partners and local authorities attended the breaking-of-fast ceremony on campus in Shah Alam Section 13; among them, Glenmarie Hotel and Golf Resort, Best Western Hotel, TH Travel and Services, DreamEDGE, PKNS, Commerce Dot Com, Klinik Menara, Bank Rakyat, UOB Kay Hin Wealth Advisors, Rapport Medline, FRIM, LF Mercu, and MABA Malaysia Airlines Academy.
