Management and Science University (MSU) has held its first semi-annual University Industry Advisory Panel (UIAP) meeting since the national Movement Control Order (MCO) was put in place mid-March.

 

Observing the standard operating procedure, the meeting was attended by 181 representatives from 133 companies.

 

 

Training a highly skilled workforce in this age of IR 4.0 requires employers getting involved inside the delivery of instruction. Having industry represented in the curriculum directs focus into relevance that meets job-market needs. UIAP works closely with MSU in shaping and improving the University’s curriculum, and helps give good its due upgrade by identifying the upskilling or reskilling necessary to bracing the era of COVID-19.

 

 

“We have a future to grow on human talent; and aim to build competent, academically excellent, community concerned human capital – holistic, balanced, well-rounded graduates who possess personal and organizational agility, as well as adaptability and learnability,” remarked Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid.

 

The MSU President was proud to note the presence of alumni among those attending; many of whom are heads of own companies started up on social entrepreneurship. Management and Science University (MSU) was named the Most Entrepreneurial Private University in Malaysia by the Ministry of Education in 2016.
