Self-professed extrovert Sruthi Susan George enjoys people-engaging activities because they bring out her happy-go-lucky side.

“Learning at MSU is not confined to dry textbook theories. You are encouraged to look around and ask questions. As per my BIVM programme, I looked closely at the impact of investment on industries, countries, and the world.”

Aiming to complete a PhD in investment management through research on socio-economic factors impacting investment, the alumna from MSU's Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies (FBMP) gravitated towards Bachelor in Investment Management (Honours) (BIVM) from Foundation in Engineering and Technology – on a combination of passion for Maths and curiousity sparked by how an 11-year-old boy from Omaha known to the world now as Warren Buffet became one of the most successful and richest fund managers in history. Susan graduated with the President Award at the 26th Convocation Ceremony of Management and Science University (MSU).

Naming the MSU President as her biggest inspiration, she describes Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid as always smiling, always positive, always vibrant; a great entrepreneur with an even greater vision and a higher purpose, one that inspires her to reach for the skies herself. She names PEC as her MSUrian tip for honing leadership skills.

“PEC management skills taught me to manage my time well between studies and social activities. And my lecturers were always ready to help with everything and anything. My classmates and campus friends were great, as are the facilities at MSU.”
